have you ever seen a professional musician in concert.....in someone's living room?!?!? house concerts bring big-name acts to intimate spaces where long-time fans can see a different side of their favorite performers and first-time listeners can discover new musical treasures. these shows are all about building community. no obnoxious bar or restaurant patrons, no smoking or mandatory drink or food purchases - pay just for the show you come to see and have every cent go directly to the artists.
green note concert series is a chicago-based house concert that features independent singer/songwriters who tour nationally full-time. we provide the artists who play our series a welcoming space in which to connect with an audience and build new fans. we are a 100% non-profit operation - all proceeds go to the musicians we host. our series began in january 2004 and currently books about 1 show every 2 months. the music we feature ranges across different aspects of acoustic and folk rock.
